2008 Cashiers, N.C. Designer Show House

The original study in the original owner's home at Mountain Top in Cashiers, North Carolina offers a few challenges including low ceilings and a restriction that nothing be nailed into the walls. Inspired by the mountain scenery outside, Patricia commissioned a faux artist to paint screens from photos taken around the lush property. The soft, muted colors in the screens in each corner, a woven wool rug, green floral draperies and velvet pillows from Schumacher bring the room to life. The antique painted French daybed, handsome leather chair and wooden tables add character to the rustic setting.
